SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, AND PROFESSIONAL LEARNING FOR THE K-12 HUMAN RESOURCE PROFESSIONAL
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MESSAGE
We're just a few weeks away from the October 18th deadline that is lurking over everyone's shoulder. I encourage you to get away for two days and come to the 2021 School Law Conference. We may not solve the problems of the education world, but at least we'll be together and can discuss issues, generate ideas and share in the company of friends. Let's learn from each other and from our legal partners and get ready to shine or maybe just sparkle every once in a while.
WSPA this Week Blog Highlights
WSPA NEWS TO KNOW
- On Monday, October 11, a demonstration will be given at the School Law Conference on how to utilize our new Job Board. As a gentle reminder, this Job Board is to post Human Resources and central administrative jobs; it is not a teacher or ESA staff job board. Written directions will follow the Law Conference.
- If you are planning on staying at the hotel during the Law Conference, use the link below to receive a discount on your room! https://book.passkey.com/go/WSPAlaw
WSPA BY THE NUMBERS
- Our member numbers had an impressive jump this week. Check them out below!
MEMBER REQUESTS
- We have our first Member Request on the WTW Blog. You can help our colleague in one of two ways. If you choose "Email response", your response will be sent to me and I'll pass it on to the requestor and place it in the shared drive. If you choose "Upload documents/resources", you will place your items in the shared folder.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
- Our Writing Skills for Human Resources workshop is being offered on October 25 at the Puget Sound ESD and is a GREAT training for HR staff of all levels.
- Save the Date.... the S-275 workshop is coming to you via Zoom on November 10! Registration open soon.
Thank you for everything you do. You are appreciated!
